School's out...for summer!

We're going to take a short break and enjoy our summer, and deservedly so. The new album has been getting a great response, check out the Press section for continuous updates.

Photos have been posted from the Triple Rock show, it was a gas!

Shows have been booked already for September and October. Our first confirmed show is an outdoor musical festival in Northeast Minneapolis. The line-up is a fucking riot! Check this shit out here!

Have a good summer! Thanks for supporting local music, and thanks for supporting Kwang!

We love you.

Kwang was recently featured on 89.3 The Current's local show once again! It's time to get them in rotation...REQUEST Kwang on The Current!

The show has been archived on The Current's website. They played track 8, "She's Sophisticated", and had to do some editing to take care of the f-enheimers. Good stuff!

REQUEST KWANG!

PRESS section updated, check it out! We are getting some favorable reviews. If you haven't picked up your copy of the new CD yet, get it here.

The CD release party was a success, even with Dan's accident and all. Fargo was surprisingly rockin', we had a blast up there. What? We didn't hit ANY cars at 3 AM!

Next up, we are honored to be part of our good friends The Motorz dual CD release show in Madison. We got this feeling, that night is gonna be one of those hot nights...awwwww yeah!

Holy shit! According to our Myspace page, we have a ratio of approximately 2500 friends for every one enemy!

All we ever wanted to do was have fun and we're succeeding at every level possible. Anything that happens from here on out is just extra.

Don't forget about the 19th! Come early to check out all the other bands!

WE ARE OUT OF L & XL RINGER T-SHIRTS!

If you have one on order, we will be getting them in the next 2 to 4 weeks. They will be here before the album release party. Speaking of...

Game on! It's going to be at The Uptown Bar on Saturday, May 19th. This is the one show you are not going to want to miss. We're pulling out all the stops to save rock n' roll and you better be there to witness this momentous event. The torch has been passed. See the GIGS page as more details will be added until show time.

Although we can't share with you the secret ingredients used to make the new album, we thought we would share with you what we did NOT use during the process. No offense to anybody in particular...NOT! Sleeve of wizard!

First, we read the Buddyhead Rules of Rock. After seeing what they said about logo banners, wearing your own bands shirts, and cowboy hats, we decided that these guys were right on. Check it out for yourself by clicking on the link. Here's our list:

1) We did not use any makeup. This includes eyeliner, lipstick, or face paint.

2) We did not use fake sampled drums!

3) We did not borrow money from kids twelve years younger than us.

4) We did not use fake names.

5) We did not record any cover songs whatsoever.

6) We did not demand that we headline any show.

7) We did not wear our sunglasses at night, regardless of if we were "playing on stage like some big rock star" or not (13th Step dude = big dork). The song is okay, the rest of you who actually do this are not. Get help.

8) We did not try to hit on anyone's sister (except for Dan).

9) We did not use keyboards. We are homosexual friendly, but those things are gay. Very gay. Might as well put your skirt on and start singing about how much you love/need/want someone. According to Damone from Fast Times, a wuss = half wimp, half pussy. Don't fret Kwanger Bangers, you won't hear those anywhere
near us on the new record.(*This rule has an exception. Deep Purple, Andrew WK, and Journey - you guys are safe.)

10) We did not do anything that was intentionally constructed to satisfy our hungry egos. We're just hungry for some fucking rock n' roll.

As an added bonus, since Kwang turns it up to 11, we'll give you Number 11!

11) We did NOT use any HAIR DYE!  Whether it be punk, goth, or just plain old age, we did NOT use any of that stuff. DYE DYE DYE MY DARLING!

As you can see, our new record is going to be real. Genuine. In your face and up your ass. You can learn a lot from people...especially what NOT to do! Bottom line - don't be a fucking prick and be good to each other.

See you on the 19th. This is going to be awesome, and things are only getting better.

There was a nice little write up in The Onion about our last show (see PRESS section), and there was a near capacity crowd at Club Underground. It was pure electric.

Here's what people said about that show:

"Great show last night Kwangsters!" - Shane

"That was the best Kwang show I've ever been to sir. Thanks for making the night a blast." - Neil

"I had a blast at your show on Saturday! I love it when you guys fuck around and have that much fun on stage!" - Matt

"You played a killer show last weekend. I'm excited to hear the album later this summer, I pulled out your EP after the show to keep myself sated until then." - Josh

You should've been there. And if you were, we thank you from the bottom of our rock n' roll hearts.
